The
Alverbank Country House Hotel is a truly unique venue. Nestled
amidst woodland, but perfectly situated for glorious views of
the Isle of Wight, one can only fall for the charm and hospitality
of this historic hotel.
We are a fully licensed venue for your Civil Wedding Ceremony,
and can cater for numbers of guests from 10 to 200 for your special
day. The Alverbank offers you a romantic and relaxing retreat
for this special occasion, and we would be delighted to welcome
you.
The intimate 10 to 20 Guests…
Your ceremony will be held in the charming Drawing Room, followed
by your Wedding Breakfast Reception in the Bay Tree Room.
Inclusive of all Table linen, linen napkins and a floral arrangement
for the Registrar’s Table the hire cost is £400,
or £300 if the ceremony is not held at the Alverbank.
For larger ceremonies up to 120 Guests…
Both your ceremony and Wedding Breakfast celebration can be
held in our romantic and unique function suite, with windows
overlooking the Garden and the stunning views of the Isle of
Wight. The French doors open directly onto your private Terraced
Garden, and the magical starlit drapes evoke a truly romantic
atmosphere.
The Marquee Function Suite is offered inclusive of all seating,
table and napkin linen, and with a floral decoration for the
Registrar’s table for £1100 (Jan-June, Oct-Nov),
or £1350 (July-Sept & Dec). Please deduct £100
from this cost if your ceremony is not held at the Alverbank.
Please note; for weddings held on Saturdays and Sundays, a
minimum number of 60 Guests is applicable.
Mid Week Wedding Celebrations
Throughout the year, we will be offering a discount for weddings
held Monday-Thursday.*
For celebrations held in the Drawing Room and Bay Tree Rooms,
the room hire will be £200. For celebrations held in
the Marquee Suite, the room hire will be £750. Please
note that this fee does not include your ceremonial room hire
charge.
Your Civil Ceremony
A Civil Wedding Ceremony must be secular in its entirety,
including all music, readings and performances. You will be
required to agree the content of the ceremony in advance with
the Superintendent Registrar to be attending the ceremony,
who will be happy to offer you advice and assistance.
After discussing availability with the hotel, please make
your arrangements directly with the Superintendent Registrar.
Please remember that you are responsible for all arrangements
with the Registry Office and fees payable to them.
