We are a fully licensed venue for your Civil Wedding Ceremony, and can cater for numbers of guests from 10 to 200 for your special day. The Alverbank offers you a romantic and relaxing retreat for this special occasion, and we would be delighted to welcome you.

Ceremonies and Receptions up to 120 persons

Both your Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast celebration can be held in our romantic and unique and purpose built Marquee function suite, with windows overlooking the Garden and the stunning views of the Isle of Wight. The French doors open directly onto your private Terraced Garden, and the magical starlit drapes evoke a truly romantic atmosphere.

Please note; for weddings held on Saturdays and Sundays, a minimum number of 60 Guests is applicable.

Important Information for your Civil Ceremony

A Civil Wedding Ceremony must be secular in its entirety, including all music, readings and performances. You will be required to agree the content of the ceremony in advance with the Superintendent Registrar to be attending the ceremony, who will be happy to offer you advice and assistance.

After discussing availability with the hotel, please make your arrangements directly with the Superintendent Registrar. Please remember that you are responsible for all arrangements with the Registry Office and fees payable to them.
